SomnolenceIt was going on 4am when Ashleigh finally gave up the possibility of ever going back to sleep. Sleep, it was like the beautiful dreams that had eluded her for months. There was a time, she recalled, in the not too distant past, where she would sleep peacefully without waking up for hours on end. Now she was lucky to get two hours, if any. The expected eight hours was lost to her now, and when she did sleep, her dreams were not dreams at all.
